Since 1975, Dan Glick, founder/ chief pilot has been flying both commercial hot air balloons and helicopters! He has well over 6,000 fun flight hours and is FAA certified and recent experience compliant! As a University student Dan worked with the engineers that were developing hot air balloons for commercial balloon rides! Since then Dan pioneered hot air balloon rides in Temecula, Palm Springs, Del Mar and has sent many hot air balloons world-wide to places such as Europe, Africa, New Zealand and Australia! In the summer of 1973 Dan was hired with his Bell 47 helicopter to help with land survey and cattle/livestock management for the master plan community of Temecula, California. This introduction to the topography and weather of the Temecula Valley proved to be a valuable orientation for offering passenger hot air balloon rides.

Megan Franks is the Operations Director and Photographer for Sunrise Balloons. She has a variety of outdoor award-winning photographs from Temecula wine country, hot air balloons, European cityscapes and landscapes! Megan joins all the hot air balloon tours (aerial or ground) giving the passengers unsurpassed memories captured through her lens! Sunrise Balloons presents quality hot air balloon rides over the Temecula, Ca wine country & other scenic locations world wide. Our balloon rides may be packaged with hotels, horseback riding, jeep tours, helicopter tours, and more! Sunrise Balloons' packages are suitable for individuals, honeymooners, group events & family programs. To provide an uncomplicated and personal outing, a hot air balloon, pilot & hostess/photographer are assigned to a small group of passengers to be flown without delay. Scenic tour flights are 60 minutes. 45-60 minutes of flight time is guaranteed or you will be invited back at no charge. Onboard a gourmet champagne picnic is served. Every flight is treated as a special occasion. A colorful banner is attached to your private compartment for Birthdays, Anniversaries etc. We will also play your Anniversary, Birthday or celebration song during the launch which will be captured by your free HD video clip! Shorter flights can be arranged for special events. Private flights with individual requests are welcomed. Ballooning occurs at sunrise and 90 minutes before sunset worldwide. Your pilot narrates the balloon flight specifically for individual passengers and occasions. Gourmet snacks, champagne and non-alcoholic refreshments are served in flight. Free professional photos are taken throughout the entire balloon ride by your ground hostess and pilot. In flight web cam is available for friends and family to log in to view your outing, proposal, or balloon wedding! Your pilot communicates with the hostess to coordinate great photo opportunities. The photos are provided at no extra charge. This concept of taking pictures of passengers during the flight was originated by Sunrise Balloons and this enhancement is an overwhelming success (very, very cool)!

Passengers receive a souvenir flight Packet stuffed with an ascension certificate, wine tasting coupons, post cards etc. and are returned to Monte De Oro Winery in a specially equipped 4x4 fun retrieve vehicle or helicopter. For Birthdays, Anniversaries, proposal flights, wedding flights and other festive celebrations, a personalized helium balloon & signed bottle of champagne is given as a memento. Flight photographs & the HD video clip are mailed to you.
